Fission 3.0 Corp.

Fission is the operator at Patterson Lake (PLN) – having originally staked the property in 2004. The company was spun out of Fission Uranium Corp. after taking over JV partner Alpha Minerals, which followed its high grade, shallow-depth discovery at Patterson Lake South (PLS).

In the words of well-known uranium analyst David Talbot of Dundee Capital Markets, PLS “has become almost a focal point of the sector, its high grades and considerable upside potential, foreshadowing that it might ultimately prove to be one of the most important uranium discoveries in the Athabasca Basin.

PLS is immediately adjacent to Patterson Lake (PLN) and the high grade discovery itself is just 5.7km south of PLN. With an on trend strike length of 1.78km, the discovery boasts grades so high that one recent result (drill hole PLS14-129) has been labelled by analysts as the best hole in the uranium industry.

Fission’s Management.

Under the leadership of CEO and Chairman, Dev Randhawa, the Fission team has made two major uranium discoveries. Both occurred while the team was part of Fission Energy Corp., which spun out Fission Uranium as part of a ‘sale of assets’ to Denison Mines— as engineered by Dev Randhawa.

The first discovery was the J-Zone at Waterbury Lake (later sold to Denison Mines) and the second was Patterson Lake South (PLS) – Fission Uranium’s flagship property. Mr. Randhawa has a long and successful track record in building uranium exploration companies; he founded Fission Energy (named a Top 50 TSX-V company) and Strathmore Minerals – building it into a $457m market cap.

Fission’s Geo Team

Fission’s Chief Geologist, Ross McElroy, has over 25 years in the mining industry and has worked for some of the world’s largest mining companies including Areva, BHP and Cameco. Crucially, he has been instrumental in four of the last nine major uranium discoveries in the Athabasca Basin and is the winner of the PDAC 2014 Bill Dennis award for exploration succcess. His direction and leadership of the technical team led to the new discovery at PLS and the enormous success of the 2012 Winter drill program. You can find further information on the company and the Patterson Lake South (PLS) discovery on the Fission Uranium website.
